Getting started
Converting Markdown to PDF is simple with ConvertMD2PDF:
- Type or paste your Markdown content in the input area
- Choose your preferred layout: Vertical (stacked) or Horizontal (side-by-side)
- Use Focus Mode to hide all distractions and maximize your writing space
- Select a theme: Modern (colorful) or Academic (B&W)
- Choose your preferred font from the dropdown menu
- Select paper size and orientation (A4, Letter, etc.)
- Preview your formatted document in real-time
- Click "Download PDF" to save your document

Page & Line Breaks

Place <!-- pagebreak --> where a new page should start — everything after it moves to a fresh page in the PDF. The Page Break toolbar button inserts it for you, and the preview panel marks the spot with a dashed "Page break" line.
For a line break inside a paragraph, press Enter once — or use the Line Break toolbar button, which inserts <!-- linebreak --> at the cursor.
Markdown Checks
| Element | What it does |

| Issue badge | Under the editor, shows "N issues" found while you type (unclosed code fences or math, headings that skip levels, broken references). Click it to expand the list and jump to any issue's line. |
| Fix button | Applies the suggested correction in one click, as a single edit you can undo with Ctrl + Z. |
Checking runs in the background as you write; it never changes your text unless you click Fix.

Is my data secure?
Absolutely. ConvertMD2PDF processes all files locally on your device. Your document content is never uploaded to any server. If you sign in, you decide where your data lives — cloud sync stays off until you turn it on.
Can I save my work?
Yes. ConvertMD2PDF automatically saves your current work to your browser's local storage (IndexedDB), ensuring your documents are preserved between sessions. With an account you can optionally sync that history to your private cloud storage — or keep it on this device only.
What's the maximum file size?
While there is no strict limit, extremely large documents (hundreds of pages) may experience slightly slower preview rendering.
Can I customize margins?
Standard margins are set to 5mm to ensure compatibility with most printers. Advanced margin controls are planned for future updates.
Does it support tables?
Yes. Use standard GFM (GitHub Flavored Markdown) table syntax to create structured tables. Our Robust Parsing engine ensures correct block isolation and spacing for lists, tables, and headers.
